Description
Are you interested in opening your own business to sell great-tasting doughnuts, vetkoek, and/or koeksisters? Then the Anvil Tabletop Doughnut Fryer is just the appliance to get the job done!
Quick History of Doughnuts
Modern doughnuts can be traced back to the oliekoek (“oil(y) cake”) that Dutch settlers brought with them to New York (previously New Amsterdam) in the early 18th century. At the time, the delicious sweet treat didn’t have its well-known ring shape. One of the earliest mentions of doughnuts were in 1809 in a book titled A History of New York, from the Beginning of the World to the End of the Dutch Dynasty.
By the mid-19th century, doughnuts looked like today’s modern doughnut.
