With an ability to hold approximately 30 standard-sized pies, the Anvil PWK0004 Pie Warmer is an ideal addition to a small supermarket or fast-food outlet that sells pies. Why must you get one? Simple: to keep your pies warm and fresh whilst also making sure that they are perfectly safe to eat.
Features:
- Anvil utilizes a full stainless-steel double-wall design on the PWK0004. This design gives the PWK0004 a good measure of durability. It also keeps the external surface of the appliance cool, eliminating the all-too-common problem of accidental burns that staff in commercial kitchens have to contend with. They won’t have to worry about it when dealing with this one.
- Two features help to make the PWK0004 a fairly easy unit to clean. The extensive use of stainless steel in its superstructure is commendable since stainless steel is an easy material to clean. The second feature is the removable crumb tray, which prevents staining of the interior whilst being easily removable for cleaning when the need arises.
- The PWK0004 has an operating temperature range of between 50-80ºC. This temperature range provides conditions that are enough to keep the pies warm whilst also not being too high such that they cause further cooking.
- With a thermostat to control the temperature within the unit, the PWK0004 will maintain a constant internal temperature. We feel this is particularly important for the unit’s elements as overheating might damage them, leading to more repairs and replacements. A higher energy cost, too, is something that can be consequence of lacking one.
- We also loved the fact that Anvil incorporated a rear sliding door in the design of the PWK0004. If you have a typical counter setting, this allows easy access to staff when serving clients whilst eliminating customer access. The set-up, in our opinion, is very sanitary.
